Match your Cleaning Equipment to your needs
If you plan to ride your bike often you will need to regularly clean. If you ride off road you will get dirt & mud on your bike and will need to regularly clean. Make this process simple and fun by choosing products that make the work easy.
For example, spray bottles directly apply cleaning solution into parts of your bike that are difficult to access. I have already mentioned using brushes for this reason as well. Multi-use cleaners are ideal. A concentrate will clean your chain and can be diluted, with water, to clean your bike.

Some cleaning equipment is well designed for use on certain parts of your bike. A large bike brush is great to quickly get dirt and mud off your tyres and frame. A cleaning cloth works really well between the rings (sprockets) your chain runs over. A toothbrush is magic in small weird shaped spaces.

When you have products designed for use with a bike collected together and ready to use when you are… you will be more likely to clean. Get a kit set up with everything you need, include brushes of several sizes, multiple clothes for cleaning and drying, a cleaning solution that is natural and a lube for your chain.
