Solution for… short term hire of a Front Kids Bike Seat from 1 week to 3 months allowing your family to ride together from a young age. Recommend age range for child using this seat is 1 to 3 years. Keep them safely placed between your arms in a secure harnessed seat.
Hire Overview: Comes with everything you need to attach a front seat to any kind of handlebar stem – both a standard and slim adaptor come with the hire. Choose the hire period that suits your families needs. Available for 1 week ($50.00), 1 month ($100.00) or 3 months ($145.00). Additional weeks can be added to these set hire periods.
Attachment: An adaptor must be fitted to your handlebar stem to mount the front seat onto. Tools needed are included with hire. You will need 20-40 mins to initially attach this seat to the adult bike & make fit adjustments. Detachment will be easier, allow 20 mins.

Please Note: All seat & tow products have a set deposit that is charged in addition to the hire cost. This deposit is held as security for return of the item in reasonable condition to goRide on the, agreed to, return date. The deposit for the Front Seat is $100 and will be refunded in full if all Hire Terms & Conditions are met. Â

The Front Seat Procedure & Timeline:Â

Check whether the bikes you want to use these products with are compatible. goRide has a range of resources for you to use to help you with understanding this part of the process
Read the HIRE TERMS & CONDITIONS to fully understand your obligations when hiring from goRide
Fill out the Hire Request Form. Found by clicking the Black Arrow on this page or the Green Button on the Options & Pricing Page
goRide processes your request and checks availability. We will let you know as quickly as possible if there is an issue with the dates you have requested
If we have Front Seats available we will send you a quote with full product description and adaptors/accessories requested, dates of hire (start date and return date), cost to hire and the deposit required for the seat/tow you are requesting
You then need to accept this quote. This will generate an invoice which will be sent with a due date for payment
Once your payment is made your Hire Request will be in our system as a Hire Order and all Hire Terms & Conditions apply
You can cancel your order for a Front Seat up to 7 days before the start date of your Hire Order
Your Front Seat will arrive on or before your Start Date. Once it is received please read and check through all paperwork provided. It is important to check you have received all components/parts and any additional adaptors or accessories requested. You will need approximately 20-40mins to install the Front Seat
Enjoy your Front Seat for the period of your hire, using it as often as possible!
You will receive a Reminder of Return email 5 days before your seat is due back with us. Please follow all the instructions in this email to ensure the seat is returned on or before the Return Date
goRide works hard to make all our services as straight forward and simple as possible. You can expect to hear back from us within 2-3 working days. Please get in contact if this has not happened.
The Front Seat Hire is right for YOUR FAMILY because:
You get the opportunity to experience riding with your young child 1-3yrs. They must be old enough to wear a bike helmet and sit unsupported on the floor (strong enough back/neck for sitting in the front seat)
Great for bikepath, smooth off road riding. Your child enjoys the same view as you. Very easy to communicate and enjoy the riding together
We recommend that a simple tool kit is taken with you when you ride, to make any adjustments needed at the points of attachment to the bike (Allen key that comes with the seat)
The Front Seat can be removed from the adult bike leaving the adaptor on the adults handlebar stem.
