How to Choose your Riding Top Style
There are a few things to consider and think about when choosing a tee style. The following list will help.
All our tops are designed for movement. Personal preference will play a large part in what you choose, whether that is style, colour or features you like. We think it is important to provide you with some extra support to help make a choice.
- body shape – the things we highlight are more likely to work for the body shape we have designed the garment for but do not exclude other body shapes. Please take note of things like length and fit onto the body
- movement – there are some features on our tops better suited to specific types of movement e.g. biking. All our tees are designed to be moved in
- season – the options currently available are all multi season tops. They can be worn as your base or outer layer in mild to hot temperatures. They can also be worn with base layers under them when it is cooler
- visibility – all our tees are designed with visibility as a priority using colours, pattern, contrast and/or luminous, reflective features.
Our advice is meant to help make your shopping easier. This should mean fewer returns or delays because you receive a top that is a flattering fit for your body shape or height and is ready to be worn.
Style: Move Tee
Size Range: From size 8 to 22.
Move Tees are a boxy, square tee designed to give plenty of room through the body. Contrasting yoke and hem bands add pops of colour or pattern.
Body Shape: The Move Tee has the flexibility to suit a variety of body shapes. It is best matched to lower body curves – wide across your tummy, hips or upper thighs. The shorter length can be better on normal to short bodies.
Sleeve Length: We currently have two sleeve length options in the Move Tee. A short or dropped sleeve, great for warmer weather, or a long sleeve with cuff which is very versatile.
Movement: A sporty design easily worn for a wide variety of movement. It is best used for more physical efforts.
Lots of bright colours and luminous stripes make it a great choice for biking. Mesh, cotton & merino fabrics are used for airflow and to help with temperature regulation.
Move Tee design features:
- wicking & breathable ZQ certified Merino and/or mesh fabrics
- lightweight cotton lawn is great for airflow
- short dropped sleeve – brilliant in warm weather or pair with base layers when temperatures drop
- long sleeve – provides more protection from both sun & cooler air temperatures
- lots of contrast and/or bright colours/patterns used to help with visibility
- relaxed, wide fit with small side hem split
- several different colour ways and patterns to choose from, made in very small numbers for uniqueness
- sizes 8 to 22
Style: Live Tee
Size Range: From size 8 to 22
Live Tees are a long length lightweight tee designed to skim over the body, not cling to it. This is a relaxed style with a short or 3/4 sleeve and round neckline. Bright pops draw attention and give style to the tee.
Body Shape: The Live Tee has the flexibility and stretch to suit a variety of body shapes. It is best matched to even proportions – bust similar to hip measurement. If worn untucked the longer length can be better on normal to tall bodies.
Sleeve Length: Available in two different sleeve lengths – a short sleeve or a 3/4 sleeve. Choose for comfort in warm riding temperatures or better coverage.
Movement: This popular design is easily worn for biking as well as a wide variety of movement and daily activities.
It’s bright rear stripe & sleeve pattern make it a great choice for visibility while riding a bike.
Live Tee design features:
- lightweight breathable organic bamboo/elastane fabric
- short sleeve, great for air flow and warmer weather
- 3/4 sleeve, popular length for better coverage and therefore sun protection
- long length & dropped curved rear hem
- two colour options with a bright stripe on back of tee, pop of colour/pattern at sleeves
- relaxed, slightly flaring fit over the body
- sizes 8 to 22
Style: Art Design Tee
Size Range: Limited stock size 8 only
Art Design Tees are a fitting, straight tee that offers a bright, unique look from art designed by Nelson artist Michelle Bellamy. Its round neckline, 3/4 sleeve and long back length offer great coverage.
Body Shape: fitting straight style tee that suits an even proportioned, athletic shaped body. Length in 3/4 sleeve and slightly dropped rear.
Movement: the Art DesignTee suits a wide variety of movement. It is best used for outdoor activity.
Bright colours suit visibility for biking. Durable non rip fabric also suits adventurous biking & tramping/hiking.
