Will a Rear Junior Kids Bike Seat fit on your Bike?
Rear Junior Kids Bike Seat attaches directly to either a rear carrier or the frame of your bike and your child is positioned behind you. It is suitable for older kids from 4 through to 10 years.
Welcome. The Rear Junior Bike Seat is a great solution if you are wanting to transport an older child. This seat is suitable for older children 4-10 years up to 35kg. A lap belt is used to secure your child and therefore it is not suitable for younger children. The seat clamps onto a mounting bracket that is positioned on your rear carrier (carrier must have 30kg+ weight capacity). The seat is super easy to attach and remove. If you do not have a rear carrier a frame mount system can be purchased separately.
Where does it attach?
A Rear Junior Bike Seat has two mounting options carrier or frame mounting. Both options use the additional support of struts that attach to the rear seat/wheel stays on your frame.
We recommend use with a rear bike carrier on a steel framed bike that can easily handle the extra weight of an older child. The seat works best with carriers that are integrated into your frame. If you need to attach a carrier it will need to be certified to carry 30kg+ and must be 11 to 17cm in width.
For frame mounting you will need to purchase the adaptor that clamps around your seat post tube and is permanently attached to your bike. This clamp needs 12.5cm of clear space high on your seat post tube. Please check availability of adaptor.
The clamping mechanism under the Junior seat tightens onto the rails of a rear carrier. Struts provide extra support.

Will it fit your bike?
The additional weight of a 4 to 10yr old child requires a steel or reinforced aluminium frame. It is suitable for your bike if it meets the following criteria.
You require a carrier with certification for mid to heavy loads. We reccommend a carry to at least 30kg. Built in rear carriers on bike offer a great option for carrying an older child on the Junior.
The width of the carrier needs to be between 11 – 17cm for the clamp to work.

Advantages of the Rear Junior Kids Bike Seat.
The Rear Junior Kids Bike Seat is great solution for riding with older kids. This seat is best mounted to a rear carrier but can be frame mounted.
For ease of use the mounting bracket/adaptor should remain attached to your bike. This will be on your seat post tube as a clamp and arm coming up over your rear wheel.
