A Quick Overview of Mid Mount Seat for Mountain Bikes
Welcome. There are two different styles of Mid Mount Kids Bike Seats for Mountain Biking made by the NZ Company Shotgun. Both Shotgun seats are suitable from 2 years through to 5 years (up to 22kg for the Shotgun and 27kg for the Shotgun Pro).
Mid Mount Kids Bike Seats have your child positioned in front of you between your arms. Your ability and comfort to ride with your child for this age range will initially depend on the child’s balance and ability to follow instructions. Mid Mount Seat – Shotgun
Child: Suitable for 2-5years old up to 22kg
Style of Bike: Suitable for standard Mountain Bikes

Bike Frame Contact: This seat has 5 points of contact with your bike frame around the top and bottom tube. Each contact point is protected with rubber.
Ease of Attachment and Removal: Quick and easy to remove from a standard mountain bike, there does not need to be anything permanently attached to your bike. Enabling you to use your bike for riding solo.
Kids Handlebar: You need an Allen Key to attach or detach the handlebars. These handlebars are straight, and not as wide as the Shotgun Pro (250mm wide)
Mid Mount Seat – Shotgun Pro
Child: Suitable for 2-5years old up to 27kg
Style of Bike: Suitable for Standard and Electric Mountain Bikes

Bike Frame Contact: This seat clamps via a rail around a headset and a seat post tube and makes no direct contact with the frame of your bike.
Ease of Attachment and Removal: Quick and easy to remove from a standard mountain or electric mountain bike. Slightly quicker and easier than the Shotgun. There does not need to be anything permanently attached to your bike. Enabling you to use your bike for riding solo.
Kids Pro Handlebars: Easier to attach and remove than the Kids Handlebars for the Shotgun Seat. The handlebars attach and detach using a quick release mechanism. The handlebars are wider (330mm) and slightly angled when compared to the Kids Handlebars for the Shotgun
