A Quick Overview of Mid Mount Seat for Mountain Bikes

Welcome. There are two different styles of Mid Mount Kids Bike Seats for Mountain Biking made by the NZ Company Shotgun.  Both Shotgun seats are suitable from 2 years through to 5 years (up to 22kg for the Shotgun and 27kg for the Shotgun Pro).

Mid Mount Kids Bike Seats have your child positioned in front of you between your arms.  Your ability and comfort to ride with your child for this age range will initially depend on the child’s balance and ability to follow instructions. Riding with a child attached using a mid mount seat is different than riding solo. Learn about some of the considerations. Riding Safely with a Mid Mount Kids Bike Seat.
