Knee Pad Measurements

To get the right size knee pad you need to know your child’s thigh measurement.  Please note that height is a really important measurement for the Mountain Bike Knee Pads.

The best way to measure is with a tape measure.  If you don’t have a tape measure use a piece of string or some wool then lay this out along a ruler.

Firstly you will need to find the point 2cm above the top of their knee cap.

Place the tape measure around your kids thigh at this point (2cm above top of knee cap).

  1. See the size chart below to help with choosing the most comfortable size. If your measurement is close to or right between sizes think about a couple of things… This product is designed to fit securely over your knee – a size that is too small will restrict their ability to move their knee.
  2. Both the knee & elbow pads have velcro strapping above & below the knee to assist with good fit.  This strapping may need to be trimmed.

Elbow Pad Measurements

Elbow Pad Measurement

To get the right size elbow pad you need to know your child’s arm measurement.

The best way to measure is with a tape measure.  If you don’t have a tape measure use a piece of string or some wool then lay this out along a ruler.

UPPER ARM MEASUREMENT – Firstly you will need to find the widest point of the upper arm (bicep).  This measurement is a relaxed arm circumference, relax your hand and measure with a close to straight elbow… (your bicep needs to be relaxed not tensed).

Place the tape measure around the bicep at the widest point (above elbow), making sure it is horizontal all the way around the arm.

  1. See the size chart below to help with choosing the most comfortable size. If your measurement is close to or right between sizes think about a couple of things… This product is designed to fit securely over the elbow – a size that is too small will restrict their ability to move their arm.
  2. Both the knee & elbow pads have velcro strapping above & below the joint to assist with good fit.  This strapping may need to be trimmed.
