Kids & Youth Jacket Measurements
The most important measurement for the kids jacket & the kids pants is height – if your child is taller than the height measurement then the sleeves/body or legs may be a bit short, and they will likely grow out of it very quickly.
The Youth Jacket requires 3 measurements (chest, waist, hip) for you to make a good buy decision… take your time now and you will get the best fit for your child.
Height measurement … Get your child to stand straight against a wall with heels touching the wall (remove shoes). Place a ruler evenly on their head so that it touches the wall at what you think is their height. Measure with you tape from this point on the wall all the way down to the floor.
Chest measurement… Get your child to stand with their arms lifted away from their sides and place the tape around the largest part of their chest. Once the tape is even all the way around get them to relax their arms by their sides.
Waist measurement… To find the natural crease line of your waist, stand straight with hands at the side. Then bend sideways running the hand down the outside surface of the leg. This movement will produce a crease at the waist so place your measuring tape on this crease. Return to standing straight and place the tape measure around your waist at your crease point (usually the narrowest part of your torso).
Hip Measurement… A child’s hip measurement is found approximately 12cm down from the waist. Let the measuring tape fall down your body to the floor to find the 12cm mark, you are looking for the widest part of their body. Move the measuring tape to this point then wrap it around their body. Make sure it is straight all the way around.
Take the measurement in centimetres. If you don’t have a tape measure use string or wool then lie this along a ruler.
Size Choice
Both Waterproof Jackets (Kids or Youth) are made to fit comfortably over a t-shirt and a mid layer/sweatshirt based on the sizes below. If your child is measuring in between sizes, then we recommend to get the next size up.
The Waterproof Pants have an elasticated waist, and have generous, relaxed fitting.

Kids Visibility Bike Jacket
The Kids Visibility Bike Jacket is a waterproof, straight, regular fit jacket with fleece lining. The style suits light layering.
Youth Waterproof Jacket Sizing
The Waterproof Jacket for Youth is a straight style shell jacket made to be worn with layers underneath.
Kids/Youth Waterproof Pants Sizing
The Waterproof Pant for Kids is an over trouser meant to be worn over clothing so is generous in size.
