Rear Carrier Mount Kids Bike Seat (Urban Iki) – the bike seat attaches onto a rear bike carrier and your child is positioned behind you. It is suitable for kids from 1 through to 6 years.

Welcome. The Carrier Mount Rear Bike Seat is a great investment offering a solution to ride with your child for a wide age range. This seat attaches to a mounting bracket/adaptor (sold with the seat) that clamps onto a bike carrier. It  is suitable for a first child seat and will support your family riding right through to when you and your child are ready for the next family riding solution. The Carrier Mount Kids Bike Seat is safe for 1-6 years old and up to maximum weight of up to 22kg.

Where does it attach?  

The Carrier Mount Rear Kids Bike Seat Urban Iki attaches securely to a mounting bracket/adaptor attached to your carrier. This bracket/adaptor remains permanently attached to your bike with the seat being easily attached and removed from the bracket.

Will it fit your bike?

The fit of this seat is dependent on you having a rear bike carrier that is securely attached to your bike and must be compatible with the bike seat. it must meet the following criteria

Bike Carrier Compatibility

The carrier mount Rear Seat will fit on any bike as long as it has a compatible bike carrier.

Compatibility is based on the width of the carrier, clamping position and load capacity.

The width of the bike carrier needs to be between 120mm-170mm for the clamp to attach to the rails.

Each clamp is 3cm wide and there is 13cm between the clamps . Check you have the space to clamp in a position shown in the photo over the centre of the wheel. See Riding with a Rear Bike Seat to understand the importance of this

The carrier must be able to carry a load of greater than 22kg.  Most mid weight carriers have a maximum load capacity of 26kg.

Width of carrier must be 110- 170mm and have a load capacity of greater than 22kg.

The position of the mounting bracket/adaptor needs to ensure it is over the centre of the wheel. Check you have space to attach the bracket
