Welcome. The Thule Nexxt Mini Front Kids Bike Seat is a great first attached bike seat solution as it is durable, lightweight and the most compact seat front seat on the market. It is super easy to attach and remove from the adult bike once the mounting bracket is installed. The Thule Mini is safe for 1-3 years old and up to 17kg.

goRide recommends you follow the instructions of the manufacturer when attaching your Front Kids Bike Seat (Thule Nexxt Mini). goRide has attached Front Seats to a variety of different bikes, we aim to understand and support this experience for you. We know if we have success on the installation then so can you.
The installation of the bracket will take a little time. You will need to allow yourself some time to understand and enjoy working through the installation process. Once installed connecting the Front Seat to the bracket when wanting to go for a ride is easy and quick.
Before you start: Get what you need – the adult bike and an adjustable spanner. You may require additional allen keys than the one supplied.
Prepare the Front Seat
Gather the Thule Nexxt Mini Seat, the buckle, the foot rests & handlebar attachment.
Slot the buckle into place on the handlebar.
Slide the child’s handlebar attachment down into place with the loop extending away from the seat.
Slot the footrests up into place. Secure these fittings in place by inserting the screws and tighten.
Prepare your handlebar stem to attach the bracket/adaptor
We are assuming that you have a Quill or Threaded stem to attach this bracket to.
If you are putting the Front Kids Bike Seat on a Mountain/Trail style bike by removing at least 20mm of spacers from a Threadless stem then please refer to ‘Prepare your Stem’ in Attaching a Mountain Bike Kids Front Bike
Do you have more than 20mm of space or do you need to lengthen your space?
How do you lengthen? Use an Allen Key to loosen the nut in the top plate, as this bolt is loosened your stem should start to slide.
Important: Most handlebar stems have a “minimum insertion or maximum extension” mark that shows how high they may safely be set. If you can see this mark, the stem is too high meaning you need more of the stem down in the tube. If your stem doesn’t have such a mark, a good rule of thumb is that there should be at least 2 inches/5 cm of stem inside the tube.
Attach the standard bracket/adaptor
Take the long screws out of this bracket. This piece now has to be attached to the handlebar stem on your bike. It works like a large clamp – one piece on each side of the circular stem and is held in place by the two large screws.
Connect the Front Seat to the installed Standard Bracket/AdaptorFind the key so you can ‘unlock’ the seat. To attach the seat you need to;
Pull the blue handle while pushing the seat down onto the bracket/adaptor.
For security reasons the seat can now be locked into place using the key. It won’t lock if the seat is not on properly so if you have any problems turning the key make sure the seat is clicked into place. To take the seat off this set of instructions needs to be followed in reverse.
