The brighter the better.  If this is a challenge because of school uniform restrictions make sure you choose brightness in other things – helmets, gloves, bags.

Best way to solve this issue is to make outer layer choices that make them as visible as possible. When you can get them to use riding clothing that is bright (fluro colours or simply a bright colour) and reflective.  Have words, shapes or stripes that are reflective on clothing or bags.

Key things to know… you have the ability to easily add visibility accessories to your kids bag or bike.  This is a relatively budget friendly way to ensure that they are seen.

Best way to solve this issue is to use the surfaces you have available and add reflection or light. As well as their outer clothing help them to be seen with lights, reflectors or a snap band. Take every opportunity to be seen from all angles and directions. Bike lights should be used when riding in poor light and weather conditions. Great to have if they get caught in the dark heading home from after school activities.  All these accessories should be permanently attached or be an easy to carry and use option.
