Attaching a Mountain Bike Front Seat – Urban Iki.
Create plenty of family biking memories with a Mountain Bike Front Seat. Take kids with you and enjoy the view and experience together.
Welcome. The Mountain Bike Front Seat (Urban Iki) is a great first attached bike seat solution as it is durable, lightweight and a special bracket (MTB Adaptor) allows you to mount it to mountain bike/trail style bikes. Once the MTB Adaptor or Bracket is installed it is super easy to attach and remove from the adult bike. The Mountain Bike Front Seat is safe for 1-3 year olds and up to 15kg of weight.
You will love riding with you child positioned between your arms for the ultimate in interaction so you can enjoy the ride together.

Safely and Successfully Attaching your Mountain Bike Front Seat.
goRide recommends you follow the instructions of the manufacturer when attaching your Mountain Bike Front Seat. goRide has attached Front Seats to a variety of different bikes, we aim to understand and support this experience for you. We know if we have success on the installation then so can you.
The initial installation of the MTB Adaptor will take a little time but once installed connecting the Front Seat to the Adaptor/Bracket is easy and quick. You will need to allow yourself some time to understand and enjoy working through the attachment process.
Before you start: Get what you need – the adult bike and a set of Allen Keys. You may require additional Allen Keys than the one supplied.
Prepare the Front Seat
goRide Support:
Gather the Urban Iki and the foot rests.
Slot the foot rests up into place and close the clip on the rear.
Prepare adult bike for attachment of the MTB Adaptor
goRide Support:
You need to remove your horizontal handlebar stem and handlebars. Do this by unscrewing the stem screw in the top plate (single screw that goes down into the top of the stem). Now undo the handlebar clamp (4 screws on the sides) and lift the stem and handlebars off, be careful not to twist your cables as you do this. Finally, remove a spacer/ring if you need to – you only need 5mm of space.
The process for preparing the stem is the same as for a Yepp Mini Front seat so please view the video.
Attach the MTB Adaptor
goRide Support:
Place the plate of the Adaptor down onto the exposed stem then put your handlebar unit back onto the stem.
The Adaptor is held in place by your handlebars so make sure you have securely re-fastened the bolts holding it in place.
The screw cap can now be re-placed over the top of your stem and tightened.
Connect the Front Seat to the installed MTB Adaptor
goRide Support:
To attach the seat you need to press the lever, found under the seat, and slide the handle back towards you. Push the seat down while releasing the handle until you hear it CLICK.
To take the seat off this set of instructions needs to be followed in reverse.
