You always need enough gear, water and food to keep yourself safe and comfortable. What does the list look like for Bike Path, Trail or Supported Day Riding?
Overview
The requirements for gear when riding on bike paths and cycle trails is fairly straight forward.
Water and tools should go with you every time you ride. What extra things you should take depends on…
- season/weather
- how far you are going
- how isolated it is
- facilities along the way (access to water, places to buy food)
The base gear list to follow is targeted at a 1-2 hour day ride. Additions for riding in different seasons follow the basic list. For a Multi-Day Unsupported Ride… read this story
